How to Download a Mailing List

 

1.        When the results from the search are listed on the left data frame of the screen. Look to the very top of the list between the results and the search box.  Click on the link that says:

 

 

2.        Two new windows will pop up.

A.       In most cases, “My Documents” is the default “Save in:” location.  The location of the file can be changed by using the “Save in:” drop down menu. **

B.       Create a file name that will be easy to remember in the “File name:” field and click “.”

 

 

**NOTE: REMEMBER WHERE THE FILE IS SAVED!

A.       Close this window by clicking the “” button.

 

 

3.        Locate the file in the “My Documents” folder.

 

 

4.        To open the file in Microsoft Excel, right click on the file name and choose “Rename” from the menu.

5.        Change “” to “” and press the Enter key.

A.       The file name may differ from the example above, but simply change “.txt” to “.csv”.

 

 

6.        A warning will appear and ask if you are sure you want to change the file name; select “Yes”.

 

 

 

7.        Double click on the file name once again, and the file will open as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
