Highlights of Web Site Changes

We have implemented some significant changes in this release of our web site. Highlights of these changes can be found in the following paragraphs.

There have been changes made to the data queries and results sets for the Real Estate searches. A Condominium search has been added and the results sets for all of the searches have been standardized. The “Download Mailing List” feature has been simplified.

Now included in the mailing list are Parcel ID, Owner Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Sales Date, Book, Page, Site Address, Land Use Code, Acres, and Finished Area.

Also, new to this release, the Property Record Card now opens in its own window to allow for continued use of the maps and other query functions.

The interactive map has received a complete overhaul providing you with a more simple and intuitive interface. The new map component has been designed to be more friendly. You can now perform more in-depth geographic research and extraction of property detail from the map.

A great new feature just added, is the ability to create a search area around a parcel to find out information such as other parcels, land sales, or improved land sales.

The following is a short summary of the new features available through the new map service:

- Ability to view map without downloading an ActiveX program.
- Ability to search by Condominium.
- Adjustable map display.
- New pan tool ().
- Selection of records from the map into the results window (left side of screen under

).
- 20+ acre selection and identification. 

- Ability to create a buffer around a selected parcel.
- Aerial photo toggle ().
- Legend pop up window to facilitate user searches.
- Layer pop up window to facilitate user searches.
- New tool bar located to the left of the map display.

Tool Bar Icon Descriptions

This symbol will take you directly to the in depth map help page.

This symbol allows you to re-adjust the map size to fit your screen.

This symbol allows you to Zoom In to a particular selection range on the map. This is the default selected tool when using the Maps.

This symbol allows you to Zoom Out from a particular selection range on the map.

This symbol allows you to Zoom back to the full extent of the map.

This symbol allows you to pan the map in any direction.

This symbol allows you to pull information about a parcel, depending upon the option you select. If you choose parcel (green shapes), then it will launch a Record Card for that parcel. If you chooses condo (pink shapes), then it will zoom to the map of the condo and provide a list of information for that particular condo.

This symbol allows you to select a rectangular area on the map and will display a list of information for your selection.

This symbol allows you to draw a line through an area on the map and will display a list of information for your selection.

This symbol allows you to draw a polygram around an area on the map and will display a list of information for your selection.

This icon allows you to create a search area around a selected parcel to find out such things as other parcels, sales, or improved sales nearby the selected parcel.

This symbol allows you to toggle on and off the Aerial Photos.

This symbol allows you to clear your map selection criteria and begin a new search.

This symbol provides you with a legend for the map.

This symbol allows you to turn on and off layers associated with the Map.

This symbol allows you to print your current map.

This symbol allows you to save your current map to a file.
