How to Download a Mailing List

 

1.        When the results from the search are listed on the left data frame of the screen. Look to the very top of the list between the results and the search box.  Click on the link that says:

 

 

2.        Two new windows will pop up.

A.       In most cases, “My Documents” is the default “Save in:” location.  The location of the file can be changed by using the “Save in:” drop down menu. **

 

B.       Create a file name that will be easy to remember in the “File name:” field and click “.”

 

 

**NOTE: REMEMBER WHERE THE FILE IS SAVED!

A.     Close this window by clicking the “” button.

 

 

3.     To import the file into Microsoft Excel, Open Microsoft Excel.

 

4.     Click the “” (Open) button.  (If the open button is not visible on the toolbar, click “File” on the Excel toolbar and select the open command in the “File” menu.)

 

5.     Locate the “My Documents” folder where the mailing list file was saved.

 

6.     At the bottom of the “Open” window.  Select “Text Files” in the “Files of Type” dropdown menu.

 

7.     Double click on the mailing list file.

 

8.     A wizard will appear.  Follow the next steps to correctly set up the file:
